About Jim
Jim Doty is an internationally published nature, portrait, event, and commercial photographer. He teaches photography at The Ohio State University and he is the author of Digital Photography Exposure for Dummies (more info below). His images can be found in magazines, books, newspapers, calendars, tourist brochures, corporate reports, and on web sites for corporations and not-for-profit organizations.

Jim is an experienced photography instructor who leads workshops, seminars, and field trips for a variety of organizations. He currently leads photography workshops and photo tours in Colorado and Michigan. He led photography workshops for seven years at The Ohio State University, and he has taught photography classes at the Kalamazoo Institute of Arts (Michigan), and Graceland University (Iowa). Jim does most of his portrait and event work in the central Ohio but it available on an occasional basis in the Denver Colorado area, southern Iowa, and the Kansas City area.
